Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography pthc or pts is a radiologic technique used to visualize the anatomy of the biliary tract. A pthc contrast medium is injected into a bile duct in the liver, after which X rays are taken. It allows access to the biliary tree in cases where endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography has been unsuccessful. Initially pthc reported procedure became popular, pthc is predominantly now performed as a therapeutic technique.
There are less invasive means of imaging the biliary tree including transabdominal ultrasound, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, computed tomography and endoscopic ultrasound. If the biliary system is obstructed, PTC may be used to drain bile until a more permanent solution for the obstruction is performed.
In philosophy, freedom, free often ties in with the question to be free, freedom, free was inherent to humanity, an inevitable facet of the possession of a soul and sapience, with the implication that all social interactions subsequent to birth imply a loss of freedom, or to be free voluntarily or involuntarily, man is born to be free, but everywhere he is in chains
. Libertarian philosophers have argued that all human beings are always free, and humans are condemned to be free because they always have a choice. Even an external authority can only threaten punishment after an action, not physically prevent a person from carrying out an action. At the other end of the spectrum, determinism claims that the future is inevitably determined by prior causes and freedom is an illusion.
A bulletin board system, or bbs, is a computer system running software that allows users to connect and log in to the system using a terminal program, bbs user can perform functions such as uploading and downloading software and data, reading news and bulletins, and exchanging messages with other users, either through electronic mail or in public message boards. Many bbs also offer on line games, in which users can compete with each other, and bb with multiple phone lines often provide chat rooms, allowing users to interact with each other.
Originally bbs were accessed only over a phone line using a modem, but by the early 1990s some bbs allowed access via a telnet, packet switched network, or packet radio connection. The term bulletin board system or bbs itself is a reference to the traditional cork and pin bulletin board often found in entrances of supermarkets, schools, libraries or other public areas where people can post messages, advertisements, or community news.
