The browning automatic rifle was a family of American
automatic rifles or machine rifles and light machine guns used by the
United States and numerous other countries during the 20th century.
The primary variant of the browning automatic rifle series was the M1918, chambered for
the .30 06 Springfield rifle cartridge and designed by John Browning in
1917 for the U.S. Expeditionary Corps in Europe as a replacement for
the french made chauchat and M1909 Benet Mercie machine guns.
The browning automatic rifle sale was designed to be carried by
advancing infantrymen, slung over the shoulder and fired from the hip, a
concept called walking fire thought to be necessary for the individual
soldier during trench warfare. In practice, it was most often used as a light
machine gun and fired from a bipod introduced in later models.
The original m1918 version was and remains the lightest machine gun to
fire the .30 06 springfield cartridge, though the limited capacity of its
standard 20 round magazine tended to hamper its utility in that role.

pages of the American Rifleman in the summer of 1949, heralding.
The .22 RUGER pistol the first overall improvement in automatic pistol
design since the Browning patent of 1905. Bold words, but the efficient,
reliable, accurate, and inexpensive ruger standard model soon became,
and remains today, the largest selling, most popular .22 autoloading pistol
in history.
The first version featured a 4 3/4-inch tapered barrel with six groove,
1:14 inch RH twist rifling. It was definitely different from all .22 auto
pistols that had come before.
Semi automatic shotguns have been
around for many years now, and have become favored by many
shooters.
Though not as reliable as pump or slide action shotguns, they are still
very reliable, and the reduced recoil of semi auto scatterguns can help
smaller folks handle a shotgun recoil better than other actions.
